1: Jersey City has 2,674 confirmed COVID-19 cases (up from 2,469) with 138 deaths total (up from 99). There were 38 deaths reported on April 13 — the most coronavirus deaths ever reported in one day for Jersey City. (Keep in mind there’s a discrepancy in the JC dashboard. The “total deaths in Jersey City” count reads 137, but the chart registers 138 deaths total for April 14).  —COVID-19 JC Stats

2: State officials will soon vote on a bill that would offer $100 million in renter’s aid. The program would have income limits, for instance, you can’t make more than 120% of your area’s median income. A household would be eligible if unable to make rental payments for reasons that are “beyond the household’s control” and related to the coronavirus crisis. —NorthJersey.com

3: New Jersey currently has 64,584 positive COVID-19 cases (up from 61,850) with 2,443 deaths (up from 2,350). —NJ Dept. of Health

4: The governors of New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts have formed a pact to work together on when/how to reopen their respective economies. On the West Coast, California, Washington, and Oregon have announced they’re joining forces with similar goals. —CNN

  • Jersey City has two coronavirus testing facilities open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm.
  • You must call (201) 547-5535 to make an appointment.
  • A walk-up center is located at the JC Fire Headquarters at 465 Marin Boulevard.
  • A drive-thru testing facility is located at 575 Route 440.
  • Grocery store workers and health care workers will be tested first.
