Jersey City-based Baonanas is opening its first dessert shop later this year.
Although the exact location has yet to be disclosed, Baonanas has confirmed it will be in the 07304 area code, which is where Baonanas’ founders were raised.
Baonanas offers a variety of light, fluffy banana pudding with flavors that range from French Toast to Matcha. Each homemade batch consists of a mix of bananas, wafers, and pudding. Baonanas also offers a few vegan flavors.
Their fluffy creations have been wildly successful not just here in Jersey City, but also across the Hudson at Brooklyn’s Smorgasbord festival. Most recently, Baonanas won a Vendy Award for best Dessert Vendor.
Here in Jersey City their desserts can be found at a variety of spots from Hooked in Bergen Lafayette to Po-kay in the Village.
Baonanas’ new storefront is expected to open before the end of the year.
Later this month, Baonanas will participate in New York’s 5th Annual Dessert Goals festival.
