What: Sour Ale Release at Departed Soles
When: Friday, July 5 from 4pm to 10pm
Where: 150 Bay Street
SpongeHop SourPants is Departed Soles’ new sour ale. The beer is conditioned on pineapple, a touch of milk sugar, and dry hopped with Azacca. “The end result is a sessionable ale that isn’t over the top in terms of sourness, pineapple flavor, or hops.” Head to the tasting room this evening to check out the new beer — which will be released in kegs, drafts, and cans.

What: Pinot Noir Tasting at CoolVines
When: Friday, July 5 from 6pm to 8pm
Where: Powerhouse & Grove St. Locations
Despite being one of the more trickier grapes to grow, pinot noir remains one of the most sought after wines. CoolVines will sample some of the shop’s best pinot noirs this evening.

What: 1st Annual Pig Roast at Harry’s Daughter
When: Sunday, July 7 from 4pm to 8pm
Where: 339 Communipaw Avenue
Nothing says summer like a pig roast. Head to Harry’s Daughter for their inaugural pig roast complete with live reggae music and henna/face painting. Plates are $10/pp, whereas kids under 10 years of age eat free.
