What: Jersey City Jazz Festival
When: Friday, May 31 from 6pm
Where: J. Owen Grundy Park (next to PATH Exchange Place station)
The 7th Annual Jersey City Jazz Festival kicks off tonight with a free performance at the J. Owen Grundy Park. Admission is limited, so make sure to arrive early. Other performances this weekend will be held at The Hutton, Headroom Bar, and Fox & Crow. (You can check out a full list of daily events here).

Saturday Events
What: Pershing Field Roller Skating Rink Season Opener
When: Saturday, June 1 from 1pm to 9:45pm
Where: Pershing Field at 800 Summit Avenue
Get those roller skates out of the closet. Today is the season opener of the Pershing Field Roller Skating Rink. Four skating sessions are available starting at 1pm. Roller skate rentals are $4/pp (or $5 for inline skates).

What: The Ashford Rooftop Grand Opening
When: Saturday, June 1
Where: 145 Newark Avenue
The wait is over. The rooftop at The Ashford officially opens today. The 6,500 square foot space at will feature its own kitchen, a raw bar, and plenty of open space to enjoy a drink or a meal al fresco.

What: JC Night Market at JSQ
When: Saturday, June 1 from 4pm to 10pm
Where: Journal Square Plaza
The inaguaral Jersey City Night Market is here. The free, outdoor market will be held twice a month through October 19. The kid- and pet-friendly event will offer local eats, crafts by local vendors, and a bar area for adults. Vendors include O’Lala Empanadas, Meta Asian Kitchen, Jersey & Co. Gelato, Little Red Kitchen (pictured), and many more.

What: Mordi’s Sandwich Shop 1-Year Anniversary
When: Saturday, June 1 from 4pm to 8pm
Where: 320 Communipaw Avenue
Mordi’s Sandwich Shop is celebrating its 1-year anniversary in Bergen Lafayette. From schnitzel platters to its signature subs, celebrate a year of tasty eats at the shop today from 4pm.

What: Vault Allure Street Festival
When: Saturday, June 1 from 6:30pm to 10:30pm
Where: Palisade Ave & Bowers
Party music fest, part street fest, and part art fest — Vault Allure takes place three times this summer. (June 1, July 13, and August 10). This weekend’s event includes food trucks, beer, wine, music, and more.

Sunday Events
What: 10th Annual Jersey City Ward Tour
When: Sunday, June 2 at 11am
Where: City Hall Plaza
Bike JC’s Jersey City Ward Tour is an annual bike ride that cycles through all six wards that make up Jersey City. For its 10th anniversary, Bike JC is offering two routes: the traditional 15-mile route and an optional 25-mile route that will also loop through parts of Bayonne and Hoboken. It’s free to ride, but a $5 suggested donation is appreciated.
