What: Newport Skates Season Opening
When: Friday, November 16 from 4:30pm
Where: 95 River Drive South
Make the most of the cold weather at Newport Skates, which opens for the 2018-2019 season today at 4:30pm (weather permitting). Admission is $7 and rentals are $6. Newport residents (ID required) pay 1/2 price. Make sure to follow their Instagram account to ensure the weather is cold enough for an opening on Friday.

What: Marketplace JC at Magnolia Landing
When: Saturday, November 17 from 12pm to 5pm
Where: 136 Magnolia Avenue
Located at Magnolia Landing, Marketplace JC is a mix of artisan, vintage, and local food vendors all under one roof. The outdoor market also includes live music courtesy of Riverview Jazz.

What: Jersey City Craft Brew Fest
When: Saturday, November 17 from 1pm to 4:30pm; 6pm to 9:30pm
Where: Harborside Atrium
Prepare for a weekend of brews and suds as the Jersey City Brew Fest returns to Harborside with over 50 breweries, many of which hail from New Jersey. There are two sessions (1pm – 4:30pm and 6pm – 9:30pm). Admission is $70, but use coupon “JCUPFRONT” to take $15 off and pay $55.

What: LITM Quinceañera Party
When: Saturday, November 17 from 7pm to 2am
Where: 140 Newark Avenue
LITM is celebrating its 15-year anniversary with a quinceañera party complete with Mexican food courtesy of chef Eduardo Rugiero, anniversary cocktails (think margaritas), raffles/giveaways (proceeds will benefit Girls & Boys Club of Hudson County), and live music.

Where: CoolVines at 276 Grove Street
Jersey City’s The Pie Social will have a variety of pies for sampling and for sale at CoolVines this afternoon. The Pie Social will offer their boozy pies (hello, Bourbon Pecan Pie) as well as their signature Kentucky Transparent Pie.

What: Pet Photos with Santa
When: Sunday, November 18 from 6pm to 8pm
Where: Newport Mall
Dress your puppers in their best Xmas outfit and bring them to the Center Court at Newport Centre Mall for their chance to take a photo with Santa. If you can’t make today’s session — Santa pet photos will also be offered on Sunday, December 2 and Sunday, December 9.
