Friday Events

What: Corgi Spirits Outdoor Concert
When: Friday, August 28 at 8pm
Where: 1 Distillery Drive
Jersey City’s Hudson City Rats will perform a live set at the Corgi Spirits outdoor patio tonight. The band plays rock, rhythm & blues, and 70s glam. Although the event is outdoors, seating will be spaced out among attendees.

Saturday Events

What: Yoga at Canco Park
When: Saturday, August 29 from 9am to 10pm
Where: 70 Dey Street
Kick off your weekend with an hour of outdoor yoga led by Jessica Strickler. The 1-hour class is free and open to all levels. Masks are required and you must bring your own mat.

What: Record Store Day at Iris Records
When: Saturday, August 29 from 11am
Where: 109 Brunswick
Iris Records is back for a full day of record browsing at 109 Brunswick. You’ll find vinyl from Billie Eilish, David Bowie, The Cure, The Dirty Three, Ennio Morricone, New Order, Gorillaz, and more. The records/tables will be located along the sidewalk to allow for social distancing.  A max of two customers will be allowed inside the story at any given time. Masks required.

What: Pop-Up Pedestrian Plaza at McGinley Square
When: Saturday + Sunday from 12pm
Where: Jordan Avenue (from Montgomery to Orchard)
The McGinley Square Pedestrian Plaza is back. The McGinley Square SID has organized another pop-up along Bergen Avenue (from Duncan to Reed). The pop-up will occur Saturday & Sunday from noon till 10pm and will highlight food from local eateries like Guerrero, Coconut Latin Caribbean Grill, ITA Kitchen, and more.

What: Corgi Comedy Club
When: Saturday, August 29 from 7:30pm to 11pm
Where: 1 Distillery Drive
Head back to Corgi Spirits for a night of comedy and cocktails. The Corgi Comedy Club takes place at Corgi’s outdoor patio. Admission is $20 per person.

Sunday Events

What: Outdoor Fitness Class with Four Fitness
When: Sunday, August 30 at 10am
Where: 686 Bergen Avenue
Burn those weekend calories off with a free fitness class hosted by Four Fitness owner Marcisco Morrison. The outdoor class is designed to work your entire body using your own body weight. Masks will be required and you’ll have to bring your own mat.

Black Businesses Matter JC

What: Black Businesses Matter JC
When: Sunday, August 30 from 12pm to 7pm
Where: Dr. Maya Angelou School PS #20 & Warner Ave
Come out and support JC’s black-owned businesses during the Black Businesses Matter JC pop-up. There will be over 150 local businesses at the event. Plus, enjoy live  entertainment along Ocean Ave between Cator and Warner Avenues.
