Sweetberry Bowls is opening soon at 179 Newark Avenue — the former home of The Fairy Tale Place.
Sweetberry Bowls is a health food cafe specializing in made-to-order açai, pitaya, coconut, and green (kale/spinach) bowls as well as salads, coffee, and smoothies. They currently have a few locations throughout New Jersey including Montclair, Glen Rock, and Pompton Lakes.
In addition to the DIY options, Sweetberry Bowls also has a few signature bowls and smoothies like the classic Sweetberry Bowl (açai topped w/ granola, banana, strawberry, coconut flakes, and nutella); the Tiger Kiss Bowl (coconut topped with granola, mango, kiwi, pineapple, and honey); and the Cocolada Smoothie (coconut meat, pineapple, coconut milk, and agave).
DIY bowls sell for $10, smoothies are $7, and salads go for $8.50.
Sweetberry Bowls confirmed to Jersey City Upfront that they expect to open their Newark Avenue location (next door to Helen’s Pizza) by Memorial Day weekend. Later this summer, they will open an additional location inside Newport Tower. You’ll also find them at the Grove Farmers’ Market in the coming days.
