Mexican restaurant Los Dos is officially gone. The short-lived cantina quietly closed and will soon reopen as Pianist Envy Piano Bar.
Located at 100 York Street, Pianist Envy Piano Bar bills itself as “Jersey City’s first LGBTQ+ piano bar.” It’s the third overhaul of 100 York we’ve seen since the closing of Lisbon. Lisbon was followed by The Royal — also an LGBTQ bar — and Los Dos.
Pianist Envy’s resident pianist will be Michael McAssey. According to his bio, McAssey is a winner (1988) and three-time nominee of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets award for best male vocalist.
Pianist Envy Piano Bar opens Thursday, December 19. You can follow their Instagram for updates and previews of the space.
