No Dogs Left Behind — an international dog rescue organization — is holding its first ever Dog-a-Thon in Jersey City. The fundraiser will take place on Saturday, October 23 at the Korean War Memorial (158 Washington Street) at 10:30am.
The Dog-a-Thon is open to everyone (puppers included) and will include a Halloween costume contest with prizes for the top three costumes. There’s a $50 registration fee which includes admission and one special edition NDLB t-shirt. Online registration is available through October 22nd and same-day registration will also be available. (You can find all the details at https://nodogsleftbehind.com/dog-a-thon).
No Dogs Left Behind opened its first U.S. base station in Jersey City earlier this spring. The nonprofit targets slaughterhouses, traffickers, and illegal breeders across Asia. All donations are 100% tax-deductible and will support the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs from the dog meat trade in East Asia. Residents looking to volunteer can sign up here.
