Downtown’s ever-growing coffee scene is about to expand as Hybrid Coffee gets ready to launch along the waterfront.
Hybrid Coffee will cater to the everyday, fast-paced lifestyle of Jersey City locals, owner Evan Santiago tells Jersey City Upfront.
Santiago — a Jersey City native — has converted a 1970s horse trailer that will serve as Hybrid Coffee’s mobile shop. It will be located at 2 Exchange Place. (Next door to the PATH Exchange Place station and just a few blocks away from the forthcoming Yaso Tangbao).
The carriage houses an Italian-style espresso machine and will serve espresso drinks, drip coffee, single-origin pour overs, and nitro cold brew. Hybrid Coffee will also carry a variety of French pastries.
Santiago will source all of his products locally. Even Hybrid Coffee’s roasting facility is based in Jersey City.
