Paulus Hook residents have a new spot to get their taco Tuesday on.

Mexican restaurant Los Dos is now open in the space formerly occupied by The Royal at 100 York Street.

Los Dos’ menu features a mix of traditional Mexican plates — think quesadillas, nachos, and chilaquiles — alongside some Sonoran-influenced dishes. Sonoran-style Mexican food relies heavily on beef and carne asada. Hence Los Dos’ Carne Asada Fries, a dish that includes cheese, carne asada, and pico served on a mound of fries.

No Sonoran restaurant is complete without the Sonoran Hot Dog, which you can also find at Los Dos. This bacon-wrapped hot dog is grilled and topped with everything from cheese to beans and mayo.

Other more traditional plates include burritos, tostadas, and tacos with toppings that run the gamut from chorizo to shrimp. Prices are all comfortably below $15.

The restaurant also has a full bar with drink specials.

Los Dos is the latest Mexican restaurant to open in a long string of eateries that includes Mezcal Kitchen, Los Cuernos, Taqueria Mexico City, and Tacoria.
