Manny’s District is ready for its close up. The new cocktail bar is now open at Harborside next to District Kitchen.
Jersey City Upfront attended a Manny’s District preview event last Friday and here’s what we know. First, Manny’s will be open Wednesdays through Saturdays. Their menu consists of cocktails, beer, and wine. (There is no food at the moment, but they’re working with neighboring District Kitchen to offer a curated menu of food/apps in the near future).
At launch, Manny’s will have 11 signature cocktails — each priced at $14. We enjoyed the Manny’s Old Fashioned (made with Misunderstood Whiskey) and the Hair of the Dog (made with Corgi Earl Grey Gin). We also recommend coffee lovers check out the In Transit, which features Stoli Vanilla and cold brew made from Jersey City’s own ModCup coffee.
If you’re not a cocktail fan, draft beers cost $9 and bottled beers are $7 at Manny’s. Happy hour runs from 4pm to 7pm and includes $5 Coors Light, $6 Moscow Mules, $7 draft beers, and $8 house wine.
If you’re looking for slightly cheaper drinks, the bar is offering some solid specials. On Wednesdays, all wine glasses are $8, whereas on Thursdays you can enjoy happy hour prices all night. Meanwhile, on Fridays all cocktails will cost $10.
As for the vibe — Manny’s is very spacious with a modern-industrial decor. It has two foosball tables, two ping-pong tables, and three pool tables. There are three private nooks/couch areas and a large TV room in the back that can be used for private screenings. There are also multiple TVs above the bar and throughout the space for sports fans.
Manny’s District features a mini, in-house art gallery displaying multiple works for sale. (Prices start at about $4,000 for the current installation).
Manny’s is one of many new attractions at Harborside. Harborside Atrium is also home to Midnight Market, Harborside Fitness Week, and events like the Jersey City Craft Distillery Fest.
Booze is so expensive now I think I’d rather put money in a 401K instead.
Looking for a phone number to make a reservation
I don’t think they have a website or phone. So your best bet might be to follow them on Instagram and send them a direct message.
