Lyft is making it easier for Jersey City residents to head down to the shore this summer. The ride share company just announced Lyft Beach Pass, a new service that will take you to and from the Jersey Shore all summer long.

Jersey City, Hoboken, and Newark riders going to Monmouth or Ocean County beaches, can unlock a fixed $80/pp beach fare using promo code “BEACHPASSNJ”. The codes are valid every weekend through Labor Day, from Friday afternoon (12pm) to Sunday night (11:59pm).

There is a catch though. Only a limited number of coupons are available, so better use that code asap on the day you want to head to the shore.

Monmouth county beaches include Asbury Park, Belmar, Long Branch, and Avon by the Seas. Ocean County beaches include Lavallette Beach, Long Beach Island, Ortley Beach, Point Pleasant, and Seaside Heights Beach, to name just a few.

Keep in mind that a 1-way fare from Newark Penn Station to Asbury Park is about $12. However, Lyft Beach Pass is more about the convenience of taking a car down to the shore versus having to take PATH to NJ Transit.

This isn’t the first time that Lyft makes headlines in Jersey City. Earlier this year, the company announced that it would offer 50% off weekend shared rides during the WTC weekend shutdown. (Reminder, since this is a holiday weekend — the WTC train will actually run this weekend).

Riders can start using the Lyft Beach Pass coupon codes this Memorial Day weekend (Friday afternoon).

In addition, Philly residents can use coupon code “BEACHPASSPHI” to unlock a fixed $110 fare to and from Atlantic City or Cape May County shores from Philadelphia.
