KPot Hot Pot Jersey City

Jersey City has no shortage of Asian restaurants, but when it comes to Korean food, there aren’t many spots outside of Ahri’s Kitchen. All that is about to change as KPot Hot Pot & Barbecue is officially open.

The new Korean restaurant wasn’t slated to open till sometime next year, but thanks to a reader tip we can now report that the restaurant is indeed open. (They soft opened this past weekend).

KPot Hot Pot & Barbecue offers a mix of Korean cuisine and a wide variety of hot pot options. They’re located at 414 Grand Street in the Old Colony Square (just a few steps away from 99 Ranch Market). They also have locations in East Brunswick, NJ, and Rockville, MD.

One part of KPot’s menu specializes in Korean BBQ, letting diners pick their meats and cook them on the restaurant’s tabletop grills. Staples like bulgogi, brisket, and short ribs are all accounted for on their menu.

The other half of KPot’s menu is dedicated to hot pot. Diners can pick their own soup base and pair it with their choice of meat, seafood, veggies, and noodles.

The restaurant also offers all-you-can-eat lunch and dinner options with prices that range from $15.99 (lunch) to $25.99 (weekend dinner). We’ve confirmed that they’re BYOB, so don’t forget to pick up your beverage of choice before heading over.

  1. This is great news and hopefully it’ll be good. Downtown JC only has a single Korean restaurant AFAIK (Ahri’s as the article mentions) – a glaring omission in the local restaurant scene.
