Journal Square’s latest high-rise just hit its maximum height. The new Journal Square Urby residential tower has reached its maximum height of 265 feet or 25 stories. Located at 575 Pavonia Avenue, the tower will bring 317 brand new apartments to the area.

The Journal Square Urby tower will be the seventh Urby location to open nationwide and the second in Jersey City, following the 2017 debut of a 69-story tower along the waterfront. The new Urby tower will include studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. Amenities will include an integrated cafe in the lobby, a state-of-the-art gym (complete with yoga studio and stretching area), and a suite of indoor/outdoor amenities on the 25th floor, including work from home spaces, a roof garden, pool, BBQ areas, and a dog park.

Urby has also commissioned a mural on the side of the building to be completed by contemporary artist Felipe Pantone, an Argentinian-Spanish artist whose work deals with dynamism, transformation, digital revolution, and themes related to the present times.

Construction on the tower is expected to wrap in the spring of 2024.
