Harborside Fitness Week is back offering a variety of free workout classes from local Jersey City fitness studios.
From Monday, September 16 through Sunday, September 22 — Harborside will host evening (and a few morning) group fitness classes inside the Harborside Atrium. The best part — they’re all free.
Classes will offer a mix of yoga, kickboxing, spin classes, and dance workouts. Local gyms and studios participating include CycleBar Jersey City, Asana Soul Practice, CKO Kickboxing, Widly Fit, F45 Training, and The Hive Urban Dance Studio.
Space is limited for each class, so make sure to RSVP for the sessions you’re interested in. (You can sign up via this link). The class schedule is as follows:
Monday
What: CycleBar spin class
When: 5:15pm (at CycleBar at 65 Bay Street)
Escape the grim repetitiveness of the treadmill with CycleBar’s group spin class. The class offers a mix of strength and endurance training. Cycle shoes will be provided. Back in June (during the inaugural Harborside Fitness Week), the spin bikes were bought to the Harborside Atrium. This time around, the class will be held at CycleBar’s studio. (RSVP link)
What: The Hive Urban Dance Class
When: 5:30pm
The Hive is a dance studio based in Rahway, NJ, that offers a variety of dance classes. They will host a hip-hop dance class inside the Atrium this evening. All levels are welcome. (RSVP link)
Tuesday
What: Asana Soul Practice Yoga Class
When: 5:30pm
Finish your work day with a 45-minute Vinyasa yoga class followed by a 7-minute guided group meditation. The class will take place at the Harborside Atrium along the windows (by the ferry) overlooking Manhattan. Don’t forget to BYO yoga mat. (RSVP link)
Wednesday
What: F45 Training
When: 5pm
Experts say switching up your workout is the best way to achieve results and that’s the motto at F45 Training. Expect this 45-minute workout to hit every muscle in your body. (RSVP link)
Thursday
What: JC Barre
When: 8:15am & 5pm
JC Barre fuses yoga, pilates, and ballet techniques to create a killer total body cardio workout. You’ll reply on a mix of resistance bands, balls, and weights. Grip socks are required. There will be a morning class and an evening class. (RSVP link)
Friday
What: Vinyasa Yoga
When: 5:30pm
You made it through the week! Now it’s time to stretch those muscles and release all that tension during this vinyasa yoga class. You’ll have to BYO yoga mat. (RSVP link)
Saturday
What: Wildly Fit
When: 9am
Wildly Fit is taking you back to phys ed. class with a variety of stations designed to workout your entire body. Expect agility ladders, battle ropes, medicine balls, and more. (RSVP link)
Sunday
What: CKO Kickboxing
When: 10am
CKO Kickboxing is hosting an hour-long, calorie-melting kickboxing class for adults. The class is open to all levels. (RSVP link)
