Flip Sigi has arrived in Jersey City. The Filipino taqueria opened its first New Jersey location at 190 Academy Street earlier this year. (They’re located in the base of the Nest Micro Apartments near Rosita’s Yah).
The New York-based eatery first opened in the West Village back in 2015. Since then, Flip Sigi has been named one of the best Filipino restaurants in New York, according to Thrillist. The eatery puts a fun, Filipino twist on a wide variety of dishes. (The restaurant’s name translates to “Go Filipino”).
Flip Sigi JC Menu
If you’re familiar with Flip Sigi’s style of cooking, you’ll be pleased to know that many of the restaurant’s famous dishes are now available in Jersey City. Their Plan B-Rito is as delicious as ever. The perfect hangover cure, it’s generously stuffed with longanisa, applewood smoked bacon, fried eggs, hash browns, avocado, cheese, salsa, and spam.
Their current special is the birria ramen taco. (It’s available through February 28 only). It consists of a perfectly grilled taco served with a bowl of ramen drenched in consome. Our must-try dish, however, is the Brunchwrap Supreme aka as the F.U.C. Me Crunchwrap. It’s a wrap stuffed with cheesy eggs, crumbled sweet longanisa sausage, lettuce, tomato, guacamole crema, crunchy sinigang hash browns, and Flip Sigi’s signature “home run hot sauce.”
