1: Jersey City has 2,817 confirmed COVID-19 cases (up from 2,674) with 137 deaths. There were 143 new coronavirus cases reported on April 14. (That’s higher than the 7-day average of 121). Residents in the 31 to 40-year age bracket are the most affected. However, it’s the 61 to 75-year age bracket that’s experiencing the most deaths. 2: A group of New Yorkers are suing GrubHub, DoorDash, Postmates, and Uber Eats, accusing them of using their “monopoly power in the meal delivery market to prevent competition and limit consumer choice.” The plaintiffs argue that the delivery services charge “exorbitant fees” that range from 13.5% to 40% of revenue, while the average restaurant’s profit range is from 3% to 9% of revenue, which makes delivery more expensive for eateries. —Reuters

  • A walk-up center is located at the JC Fire Headquarters at 465 Marin Boulevard.
  • A drive-thru testing facility is located at 575 Route 440.
  • Grocery store workers and health care workers will be tested first.
