Fans of flat whites and avocado toast will soon have a new spot to satisfy their cravings. Australian-inspired cafe Bluestone Lane is coming to Jersey City. The popular cafe will open at 30 Hudson Street, which is located in the base of the Goldman Sachs building.
Bluestone Lane offers a variety of drinks and healthy eats that range from their popular Avo Toast to their turmeric-based golden lattes. The coffee shop has over 30 locations in New York, California, Washington, D.C., and in neighboring Hoboken.
The coffee house prides itself on offering more than just caffeinated drinks. The cafe focuses on quality ingredients, aesthetics, and health — in addition to caffeinated beverages.
Bluestone Lane storefronts are categorized as cafes or coffee shops. The former provide an extensive seasonal food and drinks menu with full table service and all-day breakfast, lunch, and evening appetizers. Meanwhile, the smaller coffee shops offer their “classic food menu,” which includes bowls and their popular Avocado Smash.
The Jersey City location will accommodate 50 and it’ll feature Bluestone Lane’s full coffee menu. It’ll also feature a variety of health-focused food and drinks. (Bluestone Lane is taking over Cosi’s former space, so it’ll be bigger than some of their smaller New York outposts).
Bluestone Lane will be the latest coffee house to open along the Jersey City waterfront. Just a few blocks away you’ll also find recently opened Hybrid Coffee (operated by a JC native), Gregorys Coffee, and Ground Connection.
On a side note, if you’re wondering about Yaso Tangbao, a June Facebook post shows that the dumpling house is still in the works (on the rear side of 30 Hudson facing the Light Rail). We’ll update our story when we get clearer news about Yaso Tangbao and Bluestone Lane’s official launch date.
