Piggyback Bar’s final dinner (Monday)
Just a reminder: Today is your last chance to grab dinner at Piggyback Bar Jersey City. The restaurant will permanently close Monday night. However, Piggyback NYC will debut this fall at 140 West 30th Street (between 6th and 7th Avenues) with a new menu and new look.
Karaoke Mondays at JSQ Lounge (Monday)
Sing a song, get a free prize. That’s the motto at JSQ Lounge as it premiers Karaoke Mondays. Karaoke starts from 9pm till closing.
New cocktail menu at Battello (Monday)
Battello is debuting a new cocktail menu tonight. The menu includes new drinks like The Emmy James, which is made with lavender-infused vodka, cointreau, lillet, lemon juice, and lavender bitters served in an absinthe-rinsed glass.
Oktoberfest at Zeppelin Hall (through October 19)
Zeppelin Hall is celebrating Oktoberfest through October 19. For the next few weeks, the beer hall will have a special Bavarian-inspired menu that includes everything from schnitzel to giant pretzels.
Bacon & Beer Classic at Harborside Atrium (Thursday)
Start your weekend one night early at tonight’s Bacon and Beer Classic held at the Harborside Atrium. The evening will include over 25 restaurants and more than 65 styles of craft beer, plus all-you-can-eat bacon. Admission is $59/pp.
Tribos Peri Peri grand opening (Friday)
Tribos Peri Peri has been in soft open mode for a few days now. Today, the BYOB restaurant will celebrate its official grand opening. If you’re not familiar, peri peri is a cuisine based on the African Bird’s-eye chili pepper.
Fall cocktail menu release at Corgi Spirits (Friday)
Local gin distiller Corgi Spirits is launching its fall cocktail menu tonight. They’re also bringing back their Smoking House Gin (which features applewood smoke). Register for the event here and you’ll get a free tasting of the gin and cocktail.
Jersey City Art & Studio Tour Kickoff (Thursday through Sunday)
The Jersey City Art & Studio Tour kicks off tonight with a launch party at Newport’s Shore Lane condos. The JCast Tour is a weekend-long event celebrating art in Jersey City. The events are all free and include: West Side Stories Festival at Lincoln Park, art exhibition & talk at om.life Wellness, Deep Space Gallery takeover at Plant Base, and more. Your best bet is to check out the JCast Map to find events that interest you the most and then simply show up to attend.
Final PierFest of the season at Exchange Place (Friday)
Tonight is the fourth and last PierFest / Latin jazz concert of the season. Head to J. Owen Grundy Pier at Exchange Place to hear a free performance by Victor Santos Y Ocho Con Clave (6pm) and the Yellow House Orchestra (7:30pm).
Frutta Bowls Newport Grand Opening (Saturday)
Recently opened Frutta Bowls is celebrating its grand opening with an all-day party at its Newport cafe. There will be music, giveaways, raffles, and activities for kids. The party starts at 10am and the first 25 people to arrive get a free frutta bowl or smoothie.
