Restaurant Week may be coming to an end, but this week marks the start of Lobster Fest at Surf City and a JC Pride Opening Party at Talde. Plus, a Roman-style pizza pop-up at Razza.

Hudson Restaurant Week (through August 2)

It’s the final days of Hudson Restaurant Week, so make sure to enjoy your prix fixe lunches and dinners while you can. New York City’s Restaurant Week will continue through August 16.

Forno Fama + Razza Pop-Up (Tuesday)

Roman style pizzas are coming to Razza. Forno Fama will be at Razza tonight for a pizza pop-up featuring local/fresh salads and pizzas. Doors open at 5pm, so make sure you line up early.

Soul of Sake at Ani Ramen (Tuesday)

Soul of Sake is a monthly event dedicated to pairing sake and whisky. Admission is $38/pp (online) or $42/pp (at the door). It includes two featured sakes, one featured Suntory whisky, appetizers, and your choice of a bowl of ramen.

SummerFest at Liberty State Park (Tuesday)

SummerFest takes place every Sunday and Tuesday evening at LSP during the months of July and August. Tonight’s free show will be headlined by The Moonlighters Orchestra, which plays Big Band tunes from the likes of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Glenn Miller.

Summer Dance Concert Series at Exchange Place (Wednesday)

The Summer Dance Concert Series brings live dance performances to the Jersey City waterfront. All of the events are free and held on Wednesdays at the J. Owen Grundy Pier from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. This week’s performance — which will be the last at the waterfront — comes courtesy of Jersey City’s all-female Ariel Rivka Dance Company.

Lobster Palooza at Surf City (Thursday through August 18)

Surf City is celebrating our favorite crustacean during its 2-week long Lobster Palooza Festival. Surf City will have a lobster menu with 17 different entrees. Dishes include Lobster Tacos, Lobster Thermidor, Lobster Ramen Soup, and Lobster Paella. There will also be whole lobster specials cooked Creole, classic, Spanish, Mexican, or French style. The lobster fest runs through Sunday, August 18.

Shakespeare at the Harsimus Cemetery (Thursday)

Hudson Shakespeare Company is presenting an all-female production of Shakespeare’s tragedy, Coriolanus. (Here’s a quick summary of the plot in case you’re a bit rusty). There is limited seating and gates open at 7pm. Tickets are $10/pp.

JC Pride Opening Party (Friday)

August is Pride Month in Jersey City and Talde is kicking off the new month with a JC Pride Opening Party. There will be drag performances, two DJs (one upstairs at Talde and one at Miss Wong’s), and shot specials all night.
