Spring makes a comeback in Jersey City this week with the return of various farmers’ markets, outdoor markets, and more.
British Invasion Karaoke at LITM (Monday)
From Liam Gallagher to Amy Winehouse, belt out your favorite British tunes at LITM’s British Invasion Karaoke Night. Karaoke starts at 9pm and prizes will be given out for best voices.
Grove Farmers’ Market Debuts (Monday & Thursday)
Another sign that spring is here — the Grove Street Farmers’ Market returns tonight. Bang Cookies, JC Fist Stand, Stony Hill Farms, Ort Farms, and more will be located right on Grove Plaza. Newcomers include Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Blo Blow Dry Bar, and Sweeta Boo’s Cakery. (Check out our guide to other Jersey City farmers’ markets dates).
Groove on Grove Concert Series Returns (Wednesday)
Groove on Grove’s outdoor concert series returns tonight with performances by the Wailing Denims (5pm), Apollo Sonders (6pm), and Segunda Quimbamba (7:15pm). Woodford Reserve will be the liquor sponsor for the grand opening and they’ll provide whiskey samples throughout the evening. South House, Orale, and Porta will provide cash bars.
JSQ Green Market Returns (Wednesday)
The Journal Square Green Market returns tonight for its 2019 season. They’ve partnered up with the Artist & Maker Market to bring you local food and locally crafted art.
A Tour of South American Wines (Thursday)
South American wines are excellent. It’s a shame they’re often neglected or overlooked for Old World wines. Well, Third & Vine is doing something about it and shining the spotlight on the Wines of South America with a 5-course dinner and wine pairing. Admission is $75/pp.
Cabaret Night at The Parlor (Thursday)
Cabaret night returns to The Parlor as Lydia Vengeance hosts The Ashford’s second Cabaret Thursday. The show will include burlesque performers and plenty of Prohibition-inspired cocktails. RSVP to events@theashfordjc.com. Admission is $10/pp.
Feel Good Fridays Returns to Grove (Friday)
Feel Good Fridays is an open market located outside the Grove PATH station. Hosted by the Artist & Maker Market, you’ll get to shop from 30+ local vendors selling home decor, bath & body, jewelry, vinyl, and other handmade items.
Los Dos Grand Opening (Friday)
Jersey City’s latest Mexican cantina celebrates its grand opening tonight. The party starts at 3pm and includes $3 margaritas and $3 shots.
