The Asbury Ale House is coming to Jersey City. Part sports bar, part beer mecca, the Asbury Park-based bar recently announced it’s expanding to 143 Newark Avenue. (They’ll be located next door to The Ashford). The announcement was made last week via their social media account.
The sports bar boasts an impressive lineup of over 50 beers on tap with rotating beers of the week and frequent tap takeovers. Their Asbury Park location has over 40 flat-screen TVs broadcasting every sporting event you can think of.
In addition to beers and cocktails, the Asbury Ale House also has an extensive food menu. The menu covers everything from wings to the Impossible Burger. Food prices range from about $10 to $15 with a few vegetarian and gluten-free options as well. On weekends, the Asbury Ale House’s brunch menu offers burgers, nachos, quesadilla, açaí bowls, and avocado toast (for those trying to eat healthy).
If you’re more interested in socializing than catching the game, the bar also hosts trivia nights, eating contests, and live music. (Although the latter may or may not make its way to Jersey City).
143 Newark Avenue also happens to be home to The Sophia, a new luxury rental with 17 one-bedroom units. We reached out to the Asbury Ale House for more info on their opening date, but our request for comment was not immediately returned.
