As restaurants and small business scramble to adopt to New Jersey’s new coronavirus guidelines, Ani Ramen is looking to say thank you by helping the communities it serves in New Jersey.
Today (March 19) from 12pm to 6pm, Ani Ramen restaurants in Jersey City, Montclair, and Maplewood will hand out free meal kits to families in need. Emphasis on families in need. If you’re in ok shape and would like to support Ani Ramen for this tremendous gesture, you can purchase a gift card online — which Ani Ramen will match 100%. (So if you buy a $25 GC, you’ll get a second free $25 GC).
If you’re in very good shape, buy the gift card and pass on the free gift card to someone who needs it.
“We love seeing people together, sharing food and drink, at Ani Ramen. It was hard to close our doors, if only temporarily, and this is our way of saying ‘thank you’ for our guests’ understanding and loyalty during this challenging time,” said founder Luck Sarabhayavanija in a written statement.
Each Ani Ramen Family Meal Kit will serve 3 to 4 people, and will contain Ani’s broth, a serving of their custom Sun Noodles, veggies, and proteins. Guests are asked to please bring their own bag to carry away their meal kits. The entire process will be strictly grab-and-go in an effort to minimize contact.
The meal kits will be first come and first served while supplies last.
