Roughly a year after debuting 485 Marin, KRE Group is back on Marin Boulevard with a new, 38-story luxury tower. Jointly developed by KRE Group and Northwestern Mutual, 351 Marin will bring 507 new residences to downtown Jersey City. The new high-rise is being built in front of Hudson Hall and will stretch from Bay Street to First Street.

Designed by Hollwich Kushner and HLW International, 351 Marin will sport a unique faceted base designed to break up the monotonous look of most Jersey City high rises. The base of the building will feature 8,000 square feet of commercial space, 203 parking spaces, and a 4,500-square-foot public plaza.

In terms of residences, the luxury tower will offer 205 studios, 243 one-bedroom units, and 59 two-bedrooms units. There are also plans to offer two floors of amenities.

KRE has a long history developing along Marin Boulevard. It’s where they launched their first Jersey City residential project, Grove Pointe. KRE also owns 225 Grand, 18 Park, and most recently, 485 Marin. The latter sports a 1-acre park called Marin Green.

Construction at 351 Marin is moving at a rapid pace. Workers are currently driving pilings into the area. Leasing will begin in the fall of 2021.

  1. What a surprise … another luxury tower …. just what JC needs. What about affordable housing? What about transportation? What are parks? What about vehicle congestion? Yes just what JC needs …. 500 new units and two floors of amenities. Really swell

  2. if one wants more affordable housing, then the city should build it or give incentives to encourage more affordable housing. i don’t see why a developer should do affordable husing if it can build luxury housing.
