Jersey City has been enjoying an upswing in new cafes this year and the latest cafe to set up shop in Chilltown is Cafe Madelaine, which will soon open on the corner of Coles and Second Street.
The French cafe replaces an old bodega, which has been closed for a few months. It’s downtown’s third major cafe announcement this year following Hidden Grounds and the new cafe on Newark Avenue. It’s also the third French cafe in the downtown neighborhood, joining the likes of Choc-o-Pain and Vogue Cafe.
There’s no website or opening date yet, but we’ll update with more info as we find out.
