Whole Foods Market announced on Wednesday that it will open its first Jersey City branch in 2020, reports The Jersey Journal. The new market will be located on the corner of Columbus and Marin on the site of Metropolis Towers. According to Whole Foods spokesman Michael Sinatra, the plans are to build a 45,000-square-foot Whole Foods with on-site parking. As of now, there are no plans to sell alcohol at this site. It’s worth noting that this will not be a “365 by Whole Foods Market,” the budget markets that Whole Foods announced earlier this year, but instead a traditional Whole Foods storefront. —The Jersey Journal
