What: Jersey City Art & Studio Tour
When: Friday, October 2nd from 6pm till 11pm (kickoff party)
Where: Lackawanna Center (234 16th Street)
The 25th annual Jersey City Art & Studio tour is a month-long event that kicks off Friday night at the converted warehouse at Lackawanna Center, 234 16th St. (at Erie Street). Kick off events will run throughout the weekend at over 200 locations citywide and will include galleries, private studios, and pop-up exhibition sites. There will also be bike tours (spaces limited) highlighting special events occurring in different parts of the city.

What: JC Kids Run 2015
When: Saturday, October 3rd from 9am till 1pm
Where: Roberto Clemente Field (450 Manila & 6th Street)
JC Families presents the first ever JC Kids Run, a series of competitive races for kids under 10 years of age. All participants will receive a t-shirt and medal and there will be special awards for the top three kids per age group. Registration fee is $8 with proceeds going to the Embrace Kids Foundation. A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, October 4th.

What: Bright Street Tree Planting
When: Saturday, October 3rd from 9am till 12pm
Where: 269 Varick Street
Sustainable Jersey City and The New Jersey Tree Foundation are teaming up to plant nine trees at 269 Varick and six more on Jersey Avenue (between Bright & York). The tree planting will take place rain or shine. Banyan Cafe will serve lunch to all volunteers and Tommy’s Brightside Tavern will host an all-day happy hour for everyone who comes out to lend a hand.

What: Jersey City Restaurant Crawl + Mixer
When: Sunday, October 5th from 1pm till 6pm
Where: You can start at any participating restaurant
This self-guided restaurant crawl kicks off at 1pm. However, because it’s self-guided, that means you can start the crawl at any time between 1pm to 5pm and can visit as many restaurants as you would like. There is a mix and mingle from 5pm till 6pm were Crawlers can unwind, win prizes, and vote for their favorite restaurant from the crawl. Tickets cost $25 per person and includes stops and sample foods from the Brightside Tavern, The Bistro, Just Beclaws, Short Grain, John’s Kitchen Cafe, Downtown Yogurt, Two Boots Pizzeria, Helen’s Pizza, Wonder Bagels, Pasta Dal Cuore, LoLo Organics, Choc O Pain, Cherry Pick, Rumi’s Turkish Grill, VB3, and John’s Pizzeria.
