What: Three Stars at 100: Classic Films Weekend
When: Friday, September 18th at 8pm; Saturday, September 19th at 6pm and 8.40pm
Where: Loew’s Theatre
When: The Loew’s Theatre is celebrating the 100th birthdays of Anthony Quinn, Frank Sinatra and Orson Welles this weekend with a special screening honoring each actor. On Friday night it will honor Anthony Quinn with the showing of “The Guns of Navarone” at 8pm. On Saturday it will honor Sinatra and Welles with the showing of the original “Ocean’s 11” at 6pm and “Touch of Evil” at 8.40pm. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for seniors. Discounts will be given to those attending all three screenings.

What: All About Downtown Street Fair
When: Saturday, September 19th from 11am till 8pm
Where: Grove Plaza (outside Path train) to Jersey Avenue
The All About Downtown Street Fair is Jersey City’s premier food festival with hundreds of restaurants, food trucks, and vendors scheduled to participate. There will also be live music, children’s activities, and sneak peeks from soon-to-open Jersey City restaurants such as Archer Bar.

When: Saturday, September 19th from 12pm till 4pm
Where: 942 Summit Avenue
When: Sawyer Smith Residential invites everyone to its End of Summer BBQ taking place in the backyard of co-op shop 942 Summit. There will both meat and vegetarian BBQ options from Uncle Bud (the Sauce Guy), specialty tea drinks from Do You Tea, and bath and body products by Bloomsbury Sq.

What: T-Mobile Newport Liberty Half Marathon
When: Sunday, September 20th at 8.30am
Where: Newport
The T-Mobile Newport Liberty Half Marathon is a USATF-certified course that starts in Newport and cuts through parts of downtown Jersey City, Liberty State Park, and the Jersey City waterfront. Same-day/on-site registration will begin at 6.30am and cost will be $55 per entry. You can check out last year’s course map here.
