Van Leeuwen Jersey CityVan Leeuwen has officially landed in Jersey City. The ice cream shop opened its first Jersey City location at 347 Grove Street on August 8.

It’s been almost a year since the Historic Downtown Special Improvement District (HDSID) announced via Instagram that the New York-based ice cream shop was coming to downtown. Van Leeuwen Ice Cream launched in 2008 from a yellow truck on the streets of NYC. It’s mission was simple: to make good ice cream that makes you feel good. Flavors include peanut butter brownie honeycomb, Sicilian pistachio, marionberry cheesecake, and (one of our personal favorites) early grey tea. They also offer vegan ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, and other seasonal treats.

This will be Van Leeuwen’s second New Jersey storefront (they have one in the American Dream Mall). The Jersey City shop is open seven days a week.

Monday – Thursday & Sunday: 11am-12am
Friday & Saturday: 11am-1am
