Walk down Newark Avenue and you can’t help but notice all the outdoor seating these days. From Roman Nose to LITM to Gypsy Grill. Now the folks at Union Republic are following suit and have added an al fresco option just outside their restaurant. It’s a nice change for that part of downtown, which excluding Madame Claude Cafe, still doesn’t have as many big-name restaurants as say the Grove Street area. Between this, the $1 oysters, the live bluegrass, and the new extended hours, it appears a trip to UR is in order.
