What: Classic Movies at Loew’s Theater
When: Friday, September 30 – Saturday, October 1
Where: Loew’s Theater at 54 Journal Square Plaza
The Landmark Loew’s Theater will screen three classic movies this weekend. Friday it will screen Dirty Harry (8pm) and Saturday it will show What’s Up, Doc at 6pm and Casablanca at 8pm. Tickets are $8 per adult.

What: Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s
When: Saturday, October 1 from 8.30am – 12pm
Where: Liberty State Park (North Cove area behind by Audrey Zapp Drive)
The Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s is Alzheimer’s New Jersey’s largest fundraising event to support New Jersey families impacted by the Alzheimer’s disease. You can walk the 3-mile trek as part of a team or as an individual. Dogs are also welcome along the walk, but must remain on a leash at all times.

What: Whealth Harborside Pop-Up Brunch
When: Saturday, October 1 from 11am – 4pm
Where: Harborside Esplanade at Exchange Place
Whealth will host its second waterfront brunch this Saturday at the Harborside Esplanade located just steps from the PATH Exchange Place station. The $35 brunch includes live jazz music (starts at 11am), one complimentary drink (alcoholic and non-alcohol drinks will be available for sale), and three family-style courses.

What: Liberty Humane Society Bark in the Park
When: Saturday, October 1 from 12pm – 6pm
Where: Stevens Park in Hoboken
Bark in the Park is Hudson County’s largest fundraiser. Visitors enjoy a celebratory dog-walk/parade, live entertainment, a free bounce-house, children’s activities, and multiple food throughout the day.

Welcome the Village’s newest toy shop at Roflcopter’s official grand opening party this Saturday. The event will include prizes, raffles, gifts, and plenty of toys.

When: Saturday, October 1 from 2pm – 8pm
Where: 150 Bay Street
Transmission will host its very first day party this Saturday along with a pop-up shop by athletic/lifestyle brand killdit, which will showcase their latest gear. Live music will be provided and food/drinks can be ordered at the bar.

What: Hello, Neighbor Fundraiser
When: Saturday, October 1 from 5pm – 8pm
Where: Modera Lofts at 350 Warren Street
Join Jersey City’s Eighty Mag and Gramforacause as they team up to raise funds for Church World Service (CWS), a non-profit that helps refugees, immigrants, and victims of violence find homes in local communities. Tickets for the event are $45 per person (proceeds will benefit CWS) and will include portraits by Pursuit of Portraits as well as snacks and refreshments from Fox & Crow, Roman Nose, Garden Steaks, and Milk Sugar Love. Raffles and prizes will be provided by Mana Wine, Jersey City Ballroom, Laura Hipfit, and Lourdes of the Vine, among others.

When: Sunday, October 2 from 11am – 5pm
Where: Harborside Plaza 4 at Columbus Drive & Hudson Street
6th Borough Market is an outdoor market featuring a variety of local crafts and food. Located steps away from the PATH Exchange Place station, the market is free, family-friendly, and open every 1st and 3rd Sunday through October. This Sunday the market will feature free group dance classes by Jersey City Ballroom. There will be a samba performance at 12pm (followed by a free foxtrot and cha-cha group class), a cha-cha performance at 1pm (followed by a free salsa and waltz group class), and swing and rumba group classes at 2pm.

What: West Side Chili Cook Off
When: Sunday, October 2 from 12pm – 2pm
Where: Lincoln Park (near the Harrison Avenue/West Side entrance)
The West Side Community Alliance and the Farmers Market at Lincoln Park present the 2nd annual West Side Chili Cook Off. Chilis will range from beef chili, pork chili, vegan chili, super spicy chili, and more. The event is free, but a $1 or $2 donation is appreciated.
