Jam Cakery is hosting a vegan supperclub tonight. All dishes are plant-based/vegan with many gluten free dishes. The menu includes mushroom cassava empanada, stuffed poblano with risotto, and more. Admission is $65/pp. (Certain dishes can be ordered for takeout/delivery as well).

Corgi Spirits presents an evening of opera with Hilary Baboukis (mezzo-soprano) and Veronica Shea (soprano). The duo will offer a free performance with David Maiullo on piano. Admission is free.

Maifest is the German celebration of spring and Zeppelin Hall is kicking things off with an added menu of Bavarian dishes and Maibock beers. Maibocks are strong, malty beers that are ideal for the short Bavarian spring.

What: Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s
When: Saturday, May 7 from 9:30am
Where: Liberty State Park North Cove
Join the Alzheimer’s New Jersey Club on a fundraiser/walk to fight Alzheimer’s. There will be refreshments, music, and prizes. Dogs are welcome to join the festivities, as long as they remain on a leash. The opening ceremony kicks off at 9:30am and the walk begins at 10am. The Nimbus Junior Youth Ensemble will start the walk with a special performance.

Where: Harborside Plaza & Hudson Street (behind Smorgasbar)
Smorgasburg is back at Harborside for another season of eats. The outdoor market will offer food from numerous vendors including Cake Jars, Carlitos Barbecue Taqueria, and more. The market will operate every Saturday. Admission is free and there will be various outdoor dining options throughout Harborside JC.
