JC Families presents Funtastic Friday, a free event for families and children at the Exchange Place Plaza. The event will feature a magic show, children’s soccer demo, tennis activities, and more.

What: Wine & Beer Tasting at Grace Church Van Vorst
When: Friday, June 10 from 7pm – 9pm
Where: 39 Erie Street
Grace Church Van Vorst is hosting a wine and beer tasting to support the work of Grace Community Services, which has served senior citizens and the homeless in Jersey City. Tickets for the event are $35 advanced sale or $50 at the door. Drinks and appetizers will be served.

What: Read, Write, Run 5K
When: Saturday, June 11 at 9am
Where: Liberty State Park
Stay fit and support Jersey City’s local kids with the TECCS’ Read, Write, & Run 5K. The USATF-certified course takes place at Liberty State Park on Saturday, June 11 at 9am. (A kids race starts at 10.30am). Registration is $30 for adults or $5 for kids. Proceeds go to The Ethical Community Charter School. Registration and packet pick-up starts at 7am.

Get ready to shop vintage, antiques, food, and more at the Pacific Flea market, which this weekend takes place at the Riverview Fiske Park to coincide with the flagship Riverview Jazzfest event. Vendors will include Taproot Organics, Ironbound Vintage, Hill and Velez, and more.

Where: Hamilton Park
The 11th Annual June-A-Palooza takes place this Saturday at Hamilton Park. The family-friendly street fair offers food, crafts, games, and raffles for kids of all ages. All proceeds support Learning Community Charter School.

What: 6th Borough Market
When: Sunday, June 12 from 11am – 5pm
Where: Hudson Street & Columbus Drive (outside Exchange Place)
After succumbing to Mother Nature’s fury last weekend, 6th Borough Market is back at its new location near Exchange Place (on Hudson Street and Columbus Drive). The outdoor market features local food, crafts, and arts all rolled into one festive party. The market runs the first and third Sunday of every month through October 16. Participants include Squeezed NJ, Bang Cookies, Liberty Humane Society (select dates only), Bucket & Bay Craft Gelato, Baonanas, 37 Ferns, But-A-Cake, and more.
