Don’t let the soggy weather put a damper on your plans. From the debut of the Riverview Jazz Fest to Sunday’s Ward Tour — there’s a lot going on in Jersey City this first weekend of June.
What: 6th Annual Riverview Jazz Festival
When: Friday, June 1 from 4:30pm to 9pm
Where: Exchange Place
The Riverview Jazz Festival is a free, week-long music festival dedicated to all things jazz. The festival kicks off today (rain or shine) at 4:30pm at the J. Owen Grundy Pier at Exchange Place with live jazz through 9pm. You can check out the festival’s full schedule of events and locations here.

What: Hamilton Inn & Hamilton Pork Block Party
When: Saturday, June 2 from 11am to 7pm
Where: Hamilton Park
Nothing says June like a block party — and this Saturday Hamilton Pork and The Hamilton Inn are teaming up for an all-day food fest filled with live music, activities for kids, dessert by Milk Sugar Love, and plenty of delicious eats. (Check their Facebook page again because the event may be changed due to Saturday’s potential thunderstorms).

What: Barks & Bites at Burger Supreme
When: Saturday, June 2 from 1pm to 3pm
Where: 238 First Street
Have a juicy burger and support a good cause too! Burger Supreme is hosting a fundraiser for the Liberty Humane Society with 30 percent of all sales benefiting the LHS. There will be live music and plenty of room to bring the puppers along.

What: Jersey City Ward Tour 2018
When: Sunday, June 3 from 9am
Where: Montgomery & Grove Street (City Hall)
The Jersey City Ward Tour is a casual, 16-mile tour that takes you through all six of the city’s wards. Registration is free with a $5 suggested donation. There will be limited in-person registration, so if you want to sign up on race day make sure to get there early. After the tour wraps up, head to the Lutze Biergarten for the official Ward Tour after party.

What: Jersey City Plant Exchange
When: Sunday, June 3 from 12pm to 3pm
Where: Corgi Spirits at 1 Distillery Drive
Bring a plant, get a plant. That’s the theme behind Jersey City’s first annual Plant Exchange. Hosted by Kanibal & Co. and Corgi Spirits — attendees will get a swag bag, gardening/planting tips, complimentary refreshments (cash bar is also available), and the chance to relax and sip Jersey City’s best gin-based cocktails. Admission is $35/pp.

What: Macaron Making Class at Choc-o-Pain
When: Sunday, June 3 from 3:30pm to 6pm
Where: 157 First Street / Hoboken
Choc-o-Pain owner Clemence Danko is teaming up with French pastry chef Simon Herfray for a hands-on baking class at Choc-o-Pain’s Hoboken cafe. Students will learn how to make French macarons. Admission is $90/pp or $170 for two people. You’ll also get to brig home a box of 20 freshly made macarons.
