It’s official: Cryo Cream will open its doors this Friday, just in time for the heatwave. Enjoy some liquid nitrogen ice cream and drinks at the new shop, which is located on Monmouth between 4th and 3rd streets.

Lincoln Park’s Second Annual House Music Festival is back for another full day of house music. Just make sure to put on the sunblock and bring water, the music won’t be the only thing that’s hot.

What: Plates for Parks

Where: Lincoln Park
Plates for Parks is a series of 3-course dinners held in public parks throughout Jersey City. This month, Jersey City chef Chaleste Riley will prepare a West Indian-influenced dinner at Lincoln Park. Tickets to the BYOB dinner are $40/pp. Proceeds will support the Jersey City Parks Coalition.

What: National Ice Cream

It’s National Ice Cream Day and what better way to celebrate than with a few scoops of your favorite flavors. Here are two local deals you can take advantage of on Sunday: Bucket & Bay (get an extra scoop of gelato for free), Johnny Rockets Newport Mall (free shake w/ purchase of an entree) and Whole Foods (35% off all ice cream for Prime members through the end of the month). Keep in mind that Torico’s, Ample Hills, Jersey & Co. Gelato, Gia Gelato, and Milk Sugar Love have not announced any ice cream specials for today. But keep an eye on their IG accounts just in case.

The Summerfest Concert Series is a free event that takes place every Sunday and Tuesday evening at Liberty State Park. This Sunday, Hungry March Band will take the stage. They’re described as “a brass, percussion, and performance ensemble.”
