Departed Soles is celebrating its 2nd (Distribution) Anniversary Party with a host of new beer releases, including two gluten-free options, a Fourth of Jul-IPA, and two special barrel-aged (one whiskey-based) Philoso-Rapper editions. A portion of Fourth of Jul-IPA sales will benefit local veterans.

What: TECCS 5K/10K Liberty Park Run
When: Saturday, June 17 at 8:25am (5K), 8:50am (10K)
Where: 1 Audrey Zapp Drive
The Ethical Community Charter School (TECCS) will celebrate its 6th annual 5K/10K run this Saturday. The race is followed by an awards ceremony, kids’ races, and a family-friendly festival at Liberty State Park. Admission costs $3o for the 5K and $35 for the 10K. Proceeds will benefit the students of The Ethical Community Charter School.

What: Whealth 5K Harborside Run/Walk
When: Saturday, June 17 at 10am
Where: Whealth Cafe at Harborside
Start the weekend with a gorgeous 5K run (or walk) along the Jersey City waterfront, led by avid runners David Trotta, founder of Whealth, and trainer/model, Jesse Barton. The casual run is open to all fitness levels and is followed by a quick cool down/meditation session and a healthy meal at the Whealth Harborside Cafe.

What: Dog Days of Summer Dog Fest
When: Saturday, June 17 from 12pm to 3pm
Where: Regent Street
Liberty Harbor is hosting its 2nd Annual Dog Days of Summer Dog Fest. The afternoon party will include rescues from See Spot Rescued, a doggie photo booth, an agility course, multiple dog-centric vendors, and Milk Sugar Love’s Puppy Froyo. Plus, there will be food from neighboring Zeppelin Hall Biergarten.

Midnight Market, The Beacon, and the Golden Door International Film Festival are throwing a family-friendly foodie fest complete with a free outdoor movie screening at 9pm (Mrs. Doubtfire). Tickets are $5 and all food/drinks will max out at $5 per entree as well. There are over 20 local vendors participating including House of Gaines, Squeeze’d, The Belgian Plate by Waffle It & Co., Ono Grinds Poke, Eemas Cuisine, Baking Mama, and more.
