What: LSC After Dark: Holiday Edition
When: Thursday, December 16 from 6pm to 10pm
Where: Liberty Science Center at 222 Jersey City Boulevard
After a long hiatus, LSC After Dark returns just in time to kick off the holidays. Enjoy a night of cocktails, dancing, exhibits, an ugly sweater contest, and more. Admission is $22/pp or 25/pp at the door. Proof of vaccination will be required to enter.

What: PLNTD 12 Plants of Xmas Sale
When: through Thursday, December 23
Where: 16 Erie Street
Newly opened PLNTD plant shop is celebrating a 12 Plants of Xmas Sale starting today. Over the next 12 days, PLNTD will take 40% off its “plant of the day.” The discounted plant will be features in their IG Stories, so make sure to give them a follow on IG to find out each day’s new sale item. The sale will last through December 23 (excluding Mondays, which is when they’re closed).

What: 902 Brewing 7-Year Anniversary
When: Friday, December 17 from 3pm
Where: 101 Pacific Avenue
902 Brewing is celebrating its 7-year anniversary in Jersey City. For the party, the brewery is debuting Juicy City, a hazy IPA.

What: Holiday Pop-Up at Bambino Chef
When: Friday, December 17 from 6pm to 8pm
Where: 213 Newark Avenue
Bambino Chef is teaming up with local businesses to host a holiday pop-up. Vendors will include Republic of Pigtails, Resuma de Castro, Bo & Dex Leather Goods, Maleeblue J’adore, and The Worry Woos.

What: The Jersey City Nutcracker
When: through December 23
Where: Nimbus Arts Center at 329 Warren Street
Nimbus Dance Works presents its annual holiday tradition: the Jersey City Nutcracker. The Jersey City Nutcracker is a modern take on Tchaikovsky’s holiday classic. It tells the story of two children’s urban holiday adventure leading them through fantasy, adversity, and celebration while teaching them lessons about friendship and community.

What: Zeppelin Hall Chili Festival

Where: 88 Liberty View Drive
Zeppelin Hall is heating things up with the return of its chili festival. Through January 1, the biergarten will offer a special chili fest menu featuring over 11 different types of chili.

What: Window Wonderland at Ivy Primary Prep
When: Saturday, December 18 from 8:30am to 3pm
Where: 675 Monmouth at The Enclave
Early education center Ivy Primary Prep is hosting its first Window Wonderland holiday event. The school will be dressing up all of its classrooms exteriors and interiors for the holidays while and partnering with local businesses to host a breakfast with Santa, cookie decorating class (with Bambino Chef), arts and crafts class (with Luna de Papel), and holiday caroling.

What: Sure Things Holiday Pop-Up
When: Saturday, December 18
Where: 561 Palisade Avenue
New fintage (found and vintage) shop Sure Things is hosting a holiday pop-up every weekend this month. This weekend’s pop-up spotlight will feature May’s Goody Shop, which makes homemade chocolate bark and cookies.

What: 1st Annual Coquito Contest
When: Saturday, December 18 from 7pm to 9pm
Where: Grassroots Community Space at 54 Coles
Shirley’s Coquito is hosting Jersey City’s 1st annual coquito contest. If you’ve never had it, coquito is a Puerto Rican holiday drink made with rum, condensed milk, coconut milk, and cinnamon. There’s a $25 entry fee and a $5 fee to participate in the tasting and public voting.

What: Corgi Comedy Club
When:Saturday, December 18 from 8pm to 10:30pm
Where: 1 Distillery Drive
Head to Corgi Spirits for a night of comedy and cocktails. Jersey City comedians Ryan Rummel and Alex Grubard will bring stand-up comedians from all over the tri-state area to Corgi Spirits. Admission is $20 per person.

What: Holiday Pop-Up Market at Departed Soles
When: Sunday, December 19 from 1pm to 7pm
Where: 150 Bay Street
Jersey City brewery Departed Soles is hosting a pop-up holiday market every Sunday this month through Christmas. This weekend’s local vendors include Allies 4 All and Kevana Wellness (a soon to open CBD/wellness shop).

What: Movie Night at Dullboy
When: Sunday, December 19 at 6:30pm
Where: 364 Grove Street
