Live Jazz Nights are back at the Grind Coffee Shop. The free music series returns tonight with a live performance by Conundrum. BYOB glasses will be provided should you care to bring a bottle of wine.

What: Departed Soles Beer Release Party
When: Friday through Sunday
Where: 150 Bay Street
Departed Soles Brewery debuted two new beers this past Thursday and will continue the release party into the weekend. The new beers — Konstantine Kolsch and Island Gurl Milkshake IPA – are described as an “easy drinking Kolsch that is beautifully complex beyond the surface,” whereas Island Gurl is described as a “hoppy piña colada” dry hopped with Mosaic and Citra and aged with a few pounds of coconut. A portion of the proceeds from opening week/weekend will be donated to the Dear Jack Foundation, which helps adolescents and teenagers diagnosed with cancer.

What: Whealth 5K Harborside Run/Walk
When: Saturday, February 25 at 10am
Where: Whealth Cafe at Harborside
Start the weekend with a gorgeous 5K run (or walk) along the Jersey City waterfront, led by avid runners David Trotta of Whealth and Jesse Barton of CKO Kickboxing. The casual run is open to all fitness levels and is followed by a quick cool down/meditation session and a healthy meal at the Whealth Harborside Cafe.

The first annual Jersey City Sports Expo is a family-friendly event designed to bring Jersey City’s wards together. There will be sports clinics for basketball, soccer, hockey, lacrosse, tennis, boxing, volleyball, and more.
