From dance parties to post parties to live performances — there are a dozen ways to celebrate Jersey City’s LGBT Pride Fest this weekend and we’ve got them all lined up for you below. Plus, check out Drone Fest at the LSC and Van Vorst Park’s Summer Sendoff Dinner.
What: 2nd Annual Summer Sendoff Dinner
When: Friday, August 25 from 7pm to 10pm
Where: The Gazebo at Van Vorst Park
It’s the last weekend of August and that can only mean one thing — it’s time for the 2nd Annual Summer Sendoff Dinner at Van Vorst Park. Guests bring their own dinner/drinks and the Van Vorst Park Association provides the tables, seats, utensils, and dessert. Tickets are $20/pp.

What: Night Fever at FM
When: Friday, August 25 from 10pm to 3am
Where: FM Restaurant at 340 Third Street
It’s time to break out those bell bottoms and hippie dresses — DJ Dancing Tony and DJ Pastiche are throwing a 70s Disco Party at FM. The party starts at 10pm and is part of JC Pride Week.

What: 4th Annual Cultural Diversity Festival
When: Saturday, August 26 from 10am to 2pm
Where: Hamilton Park
The 4th Annual Cultural Diversity Festival is a celebration of everything that makes Jersey City the huge melting pot it is today. The family-friendly event will include dance performances, live music, art shows, activities for kids, and a wide range of food.

What: Liberty Science Center Summer Day of Drones
When: Saturday, August 26 – Sunday, August 27 from 10am to 4pm
Where: LSC at 222 Jersey City Boulevard
Get a crash course on all things drone this weekend at the LSC’s Summer Day of Drones event. The weekend long event is a collaboration with the NYC Drone Film Festival where you’ll be able to see drone pilots race their drones, view screenings from the NYC Drone Film Festival, and take 15-minute courses on how to fly drones.

What: Liberty Humane Society Adoption Day
When: Saturday, August 26 from 12pm to 4pm
Where: Pier 13 Hoboken at 1301 Sinatra Drive
Come rescue a pup or two (or more) at the LHS’ Adoption Day at Hoboken’s Pier 13. The pups will be out looking their best in hopes of finding their forever home.

What: Jersey City LGBT Pride Festival
When: Saturday, August 26
Where: Pedestrian Plaza
The 17th Annual Jersey City LGBT Pride Festival is a celebration of love, diversity, and self-expression. It’s also one of the tri-state area’s biggest LGBT festivals. The fun will take place in the heart of downtown at the Newark Avenue Pedestrian Plaza with multiple pre- and after parties occurring throughout the weekend.

What: Six Ward Dinner Series
When: Saturday, August 26 from 5pm to 7pm
Where: Van Vorst Park Gazebo
Explore Jersey City’s six wards — and chefs from each ward — during the Six Ward Dinner Series, a collection of outdoor, communal dinners held throughout Jersey City. This weekend’s three-course dinner will be held downtown at Van Vorst Park with chef Steve from Caribbean Delicacies. All proceeds of each dinner will support the Jersey City Parks Coalition. Tickets are $35/pp.

When: Sunday, August 26 from 11am to 3pm
Where: FM Restaurant at 340 Third Street
