Maddy Rose is a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant at Liberty House. The restaurant is hosting an espresso martini-making class. You’ll learn how to expertly craft 3 different types of espresso martinis using a variety of liquors and flavors. Lite bites included. Admission is $60/pp (or $48/pp for Landmark Club members).

Pet Shop JC is celebrating Dancing Tony’s birthday with a good old fashion roast. Head to the bar for live music, drinks, and more. Meanwhile, PS Wine Bar will feature an intimate night of live jazz and R&B.

Where: J. Owen Grundy Park
The Exchange Place Alliance is hosting another night of Movies on the Pier. This Friday you’ll be able to catch a free screening of Guardians of the Galaxy. The movie starts at sunset (around 7:30pm). Food and drink will be available for purchase.

What: Mother Hubbard at Fox & Crow
When: Friday, September 13 from 9pm to 11pm
Where: 594 Palisade Avenue
Mother Hubbard is a unique funk-rock group hailing from Northern New Jersey. The band is a love child between the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Steely Dan. Admission is $15/pp.

Harvy’s Ice Cream is hosting its first Desi Street Food Festival featuring Indian street food, dessert, games, and more.

When: Saturday, September 14 from 12pm to 6pm
Where: 55 Monitor Street
Bergen Square Day is a family-friendly event celebrating the cultural heritage of Bergen Square (Bergen Avenue and Academy Street). This festival will feature activities and performances for all ages, including live bands, a deejay, dancing, tours of local historic sites, local food, and merchant vendors.

What: The inaugural Jersey City Latin Jazz Fest 2024
When: Saturday, September 14 from 1pm to 8pm
Where: Exchange Place Plaza
Riverview Jazz and the Exchange Place Alliance present the first annual Jersey City Latin Jazz Festival. The festival is a free and open to all ages. It’ll include two stages, food trucks, salsa dance lessons, children’s programming, and more.

The annual Ukrainian Fall Festival features a free concert, delicious food, and dozens of vendors.

Local JC Heights band Kru Kerly will perform at Fox & Crow tonight. They perform deep blues rock songs based on Americana and past eras. Admission is $10/pp.
