What: Art Fair 14C at the Hyatt Regency
When: Friday through Sunday
Where: 2 Exchange Place
Art Fair 14C is a non-profit art festival designed to help artists and galleries showcase their work. The festival will take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and will feature more than 50 exhibition rooms. Admission is $20/pp for a day pass or $35/pp for a weekend pass.

What: Music & Open Mic Night at Plant Base
When: Friday, February 21 from 6:30pm to 10:30pm
Where: 370 Pacific Avenue
Sustainable/vegan shop Plant Base is debuting its open mic night with host Kayt Hester. “King of Hearts” will feature live music, a pop-up shop, and more. Proceeds will help support the artists performing at the event as well as Global Coralition, a global coalition of conservationists and artists raising awareness and support towards coral reef restoration.

What: 4th Annual Sports & Activities Expo
When: Saturday, February 22 from 9am to 1pm
Where: JC Armory at 678 Montgomery Street
The 4th Annual Sports & Activities Expo is a family-friendly day intended to showcase all of Jersey City’s athletic and enrichment programs for kids. There will be clinics for boxing, soccer, basketball, yoga, tennis, track & field, football, lacrosse, martial arts, and more. The event is free to attend.

What: Jersey City Fashion Forward Save a Heart Fashion Show
When: Saturday, February 22 from 5pm to 9:30pm
Where: Harborside Atrium
See some of the nation’s hottest designers and models at the third annual Jersey City Fashion Forward show. Proceeds from the show will benefit The American Heart Association — a non-profit that funds cardiovascular medical research and educates consumers on healthy living. Attendees are asked to dress in gala attire (dress to impress) and wear something red to honor the occasion. Tickets start at $30 for general admission.

What: Pop-Up West Indian Dinner with chef Claude Lewis
When: Saturday, February 22 from 6pm to 9pm
Where: 161 Newkirk Street
Food Network “Chopped” winner — and Jersey City native — Claude Lewis is hosting a pop-up West Indian fundraiser/dinner at the Hudson County Community College. The 5-course dinner (wine pairings included) costs $75/pp. Proceeds provide scholarships for HCCC students. Reservations are required.

What: National Margarita Day at Halifax (Hoboken)
When: Saturday, February 22 (all day specials)
Where: 225 River Street
Hoboken restaurant Halifax is celebrating National Margarita Day with margarita specials throughout the day. The waterfront restaurant is also offering two signature margaritas: the Kingfisher Margarita ($16) and the Summer is on the Horizon ($8). The former is made with a Patron tequila (hand-selected by Patron solely for consumption at Halifax). It’s a reposado-style tequila aged in Hungarian oak. The latter is made with Mala Vida Tequila (a tequila made by Alex Gonzalez of by Mexican rock band Maná).

What: Guided Hike/Walk to Caven Point
When: Sunday, February 23 from 12pm to 2pm
Where: 300 Morris Pesin Drive
Caven Point is an undisturbed, natural habitat for nesting and migratory birds. Join non-profit group Friends of Liberty State Park as they host a hike/tour of Caven Point before it officially closes till the fall. (It closes to the public from March 1 through September 30 to provide a nesting area for birds).

What: Puerto Rico Cultural Event at Mana Contemporary
When: Sunday, February 23 from 2pm to 4:30pm
Where: 888 Newark Avenue
Learn all about Puerto Rican folkloric art during Mana Contemporary’s Puerto Rico cultural event. Then sit back and enjoy a performance by Jersey City’s Segunda Quimbamba, a professional drum and dance ensemble that performs the traditional drum music of Puerto Rico. Admission is $10 for the workshop, $15 for the performance, or $20 to attend both.

What: Dullboy Sunday Tea Party
When: Sunday, February 23 from 3pm to 6pm
Where: 364 Grove Street
Cocktail bar Dullboy is hosting its monthly Sunday Tea Party this afternoon. The bar will serve its version of boozy English-style tea along with house-made punch and Dullboy-style bites. Admission is $45/pp (a party of at least two people is required to make reservations).
