Kick off pride month with a downtown-based bar crawl or check out the JC Wave — a concert with performances by local bands only. All that and more in our roundup of this weekend’s best events.

What: Zeppelin Hall Garden Party
When: Friday, August 17 – Sunday, August 19
Where: 88 Liberty View Drive
Zeppelin Hall is debuting a new garden menu, which will be available exclusively for the next two weekends only. The menu will be part Brazilian Rodizio and part Smoke Haus BBQ. It’ll include everything from Linguiça (smokey chorizo sausage w/ chimichurri, grilled pineapple, sweet plantains, golden yucca fries, yellow rice) to an Austin BBQ Brisket (1/2-pound brisket slow smoked for 17 hours with hickory wood). What: La Festa Italiana
When: Friday, August 17 – Sunday, August 19
Where: Sixth Street btwn Monmouth & Brunswick
Get ready to enjoy some old-school Italian eats at Holy Rosary Church’s annual La Festa Italiana. The food and music fest ends Sunday and runs from 5pm till 11pm.

What: Famous Food Market Harborside
When: Saturday, August 18 & Sunday, August 19 from 11am to 7:30pm
Where: Fifteen 2nd Street (next to Lutze Biergarten)
New York’s Famous Food Market is back for another weekend in Jersey City. This weekend, the outdoor market will include Fatty Cakes, Ani Ramen, Casa Cubana, MozzArepas, Taste of Poland, No Forks Given, and more.

What: Marketplace JC
When: Saturday, August 18 from 12pm to 5pm
Where: 136 Magnolia Avenue
After last month’s rain cancellation, Marketplace JC is back at Magnolia Landing celebrating everything that’s local. This weekend’s vendors include sweets by From Phil With Love, pottery/paintings by Leigh’s Art Shop, and gourmet garlic condiments by Filfil Foods. Plus, enjoy live music courtesy of Riverview Jazz.

What: 4th Annual Goatstock Festival
When: Saturday, August 18 from 12pm to 7pm
Where: Historic Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery at 436 Newark Avenue
The 4th Annual Goatstock Festival is a yearly fundraiser to support the Historic Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery, which is maintained by a team of volunteers. It’s also a chance to help the cemetery raise funds for its weed-chomping goats, who keep the cemetery’s weeds at bay. The festival includes live music, food/drinks, and the show’s real rockstars — the Harsimus goats. Tickets are $10 for adults/$5 kids.

What: 5th Annual Cultural Diversity Festival
When: Saturday, August 18 from 4pm to 7pm
Where: Hamilton Park
Jersey City has been named the most diverse city in  the country. The 5th Annual Cultural Diversity Festival celebrates that with dance performances, arts & crafts, and a vast array of food representing all of the cultures that make this city so awesome. The event is free to attend and will include performances by the Jersey City Ballroom, Au Capoeira, Irish Dance, and more.

What: 4th Annual JC Pride Bar Crawl
When: Saturday, August 18 from 6pm to 8pm
Where: The Royal at 100 York Street
Hope you had a big breakfast. The Annual JC Pride Bar Crawl is back for its 4th year. The crawl will make stops at The Royal, Atlas, Talde, and the Pint. You can register at any of the bars along the route and there will be drink specials and raffles at each bar. There is a suggested $10 donation and all proceeds will benefit the Hudson Pride Center.

What: JC Wave Fest
When: Saturday, August 18 at 7pm
Where: White Eagle Hall at 337 Newark Ave.
Rock out to Jersey City’s best bands at the JC Wave Fest, a concert that features performances by local bands spanning various genres. Tickets cost $15/pp.

What: Street Art Bike Tour
When: Sunday, August 19 from 12pm to 2:30pm
Where: Grove Street Plaza (meeting place)
Explore Jersey City’s best street art via a casual — and free — 2.5-hour bike tour. Street Art enthusiast Simon Kellman (djcatnap) will guide you through the different parts of JC and help you better connect with the street art that adorns the city. There is a waitlist for the tour, so make sure to sign up if you want to join.

What: Bernaes Hair Fashion Week
When: Sunday, August 19 from 5pm to 9pm
Where: Harborside Atrium
The Bernaes Hair Fashion Week is a traveling fashion show that showcases designers from around the country. The Rio de Janeiro-themed show will feature free haircuts, light food, and live music. Tickets are $20/pp for general admission.
