What: Party for Peace

Where: Monty Hall at 43 Montgomery Street
The Party for Peace is a benefit concert for the Jersey City Anti-Violence Coaltion Movement. The event will feature live music, an art show, and food by Union Republic. Tickets are $10 per person.

Where: Jersey City
Honey and Moon Photography Studio is holding its Day in the Life photo contest once again. The studio invites you to take a picture of your favorite Jersey City spots, people, or things and submit your photo by end of day Saturday for the chance to have your photo included in a collage that will be placed outside City Hall during the Jersey City Art and Studio Tour 2016 exhibit.

This is Hamilton Park’s first ever open tennis tournament and everyone is invited to watch or play in this low-pressure, amiable tournament. Tickets are $25 for children and $45 for adults.

What: Summer City Block Party
When: Saturday, September 10 from 12pm – 4pm
Where: The Hamilton House at 255 Brunswick
The Shuster Group and Hamilton House are hosting an end-of-summer children’s block party with a petting zoo, music, food, and activities. The free event will highlight local business with performances by AUCapoeira, Next Step Broadway, and Singing with Molly. Food vendors will include Me Casa, Jerk-n-Grind, and Milk Sugar Love.

What: The North Jersey Indie Rock Festival
When: Saturday, September 10 from 12pm – 8pm
Where: Cathedral Hall at 380 Montgomery Street
The North Jersey Indie Rock Fest is an all-day music and arts festival celebrating New Jersey’s indie community. The event will showcase 20 bands on two stages; there will also be food and drink vendors. Admission is $5 per person.

The 9/11 Committee of Jersey City will host its 15th Annual 9/11 Memorial “Reflection” Ceremony paying respects to those who passed away on 9/11.

Where: Empty Sky Memorial at Liberty State Park
The Empty Sky Memorial Ceremony is an afternoon of remembrance and tribute for the 749 New Jersey residents who lost their lives on 9/11.
