Friday is the final day to take advantage of Hudson Restaurant Week. Participating restaurants are offering discounted lunch and dinner prix-fixe menus. New restaurants include The Kitchen Step, Greene Hook, and Hamilton Pork. Other favorites include Amelia’s Bistro, GP’s Hamilton Park, Maritime Parc, and Raval.

What: Con Vivo Music Presents
When: Friday, August 5 from 7pm – 8.30pm
Where: The Barrow Mansion 83 Wayne Street
Con Vivo Music presents a portrait concert of the Japanese composer, Toru Takemitsu. Takemitsu was influenced by a broad range of music from jazz to Debussy and Schoenberg. The free performance will be framed as a musical garden, with unique staging, lighting, and arrangements of both performer and audience. It will be performed by Dan Lippel (guitar), Laura Cocks (flute), Kallie Ciechomski (viola), and Zach Herchen (saxophone).

What: The 13th Annual Bolivian Day Parade
When: Saturday, August 6 at 11am
Where: Starts at Hamilton Park and ends at City Hall.
The Bolivian Day Parade is one of Jersey City’s most colorful parades. The costumes are fabulous, the dancing is contagious, and the entire parade is a celebration showing off the country’s Spanish, Andean, and Native American culture.

What: Rotary Club Inaugural Food Truck Festival & Music Festival
When: Saturday, August 6 from 12pm – 7pm
Where: J. Owen Grundy Pier at Exchange Place
The Rotary Club of Jersey City is hosting its inaugural food truck festival. Vendors include incrediBalls, House of Cupcakes, The Green Radish, No Pão, Luigi’s Ice Cream, and many more. There will also be live music, a beer garden, and kids’ activities. Founded in 1916, the Rotary Club is the oldest service club in Jersey City with a mission of serving the people of its community. Where: Harborside Plaza 4 at Columbus Drive & Hudson Street
It’s time for the next 6th Borough Market, an outdoor market featuring a variety of local crafts and food. This weekend vendors will include Stripes & Polka Tots, Suds & Lites, Reine de Blanc, and more. 6th Borough Market is free and open to the public every 1st and 3rd Sunday through October.

What: 2016 National Drone Championship
When: Friday, August 5 through Sunday, August 7
Where: Governor’s Island, New York
Last weekend’s qualifiers are over and it’s time for the championship. The event will have an opening ceremony on Friday, freestyle competitions throughout each day, and the finals and closing ceremony on Sunday. General admission tickets are free and ESPN3 will also provide live coverage.
