What: Departed Soles New Brew Debut
When: Friday, January 13 through Sunday, January 15
Where: 150 Bay Street
Come to the tasting room and check out Departed Soles’ just-released, new brew — the Oelewapper. A Belgian style Dubbel, the Oelewapper is brewed in a traditional Trappist manner and resembles the brewery’s Philoso-Rapper, albeit darker and heavier.

What: Whealth 5K Harborside Run/Walk
When: Saturday, January 14 at 10am
Where: Harborside Esplanade
Start the weekend with a gorgeous 5K run (or walk) along the Jersey City waterfront, led by avid runners David Trotta of Whealth and Jesse Barton of CKO Kickboxing. The casual run is open to all fitness levels and is followed by a quick cool down/meditation session and a healthy meal at the Whealth Harborside Cafe. Tickets are $10 per person.

What: New JSQ Community Association Monthly Meeting
When: Saturday, January 14 at 10am
Where: Starting Points School at 2737 Kennedy Blvd.
The New JSQ Community Association is a community of local residents looking to keep JSQ and its immediate area clean, green, and safe. The monthly meeting is open to all residents — especially if you live in the area — and will also be attended by Mayor Fulop.

What: The Collins Brothers Retrospective
When: Saturday, January 14 from 2pm – 5pm
Where: 107 Bowers Gallery & ArtSpace at 107 Bowers
107 Bowers Gallery & ArtSpace will hold an opening reception showcasing the art work of the Collins brothers — Jersey City locals since 1963. One of the brothers, Myles, is a former New York City commercial artist who is retired, but continues to create art every day.
