Start your weekend with a new brew from Departed Soles. The downtown brewery is releasing a new series of experimental beers called Flavor Unit: The Mixtape. Volume 1 — which will be bottled and released today at 4pm — will be a “base India Pale Ale recipe, fermented with our favorite English Ale yeast strain, and double dry hopped for fun.”

Where: Urby Parking Lot at 200 Greene Street
The Exchange Place Hay Maze and Pumpkin Patch Party is a family-friendly celebration of everything we love about autumn — from pumpkins to hay mazes (yup, that’s right — hay mazes). Admission is free, but some parts — such as the Hay Maze — require a ticket.

Celebrate the Lutze’s first Halloween party — and its final day of the season — with an all-day happy hour that starts at 12pm. Costumes are encouraged.

Jersey City’s first distillery is ready for its closeup. This weekend marks the soft opening of Corgi Spirits, a small-batch distillery focusing on gin and vodka. Sip on a cocktail, throwback a martini, or enjoy your spirits straight up. Corgi will be open from 4pm to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday.

When: Saturday, October 28 at 8pm
Where: White Eagle Hall at 337 Newark Avenue
White Eagle Hall is being transformed into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. So grab your cloaks and head to 337 Newark Avenue for a Harry Potter dance and costume party you won’t forget. Tickets are $20/pp.
