Nucky’s is a new speakeasy located in the basement at Hudson Hound. The speakeasy, formerly home to Miss Wong’s, is currently open on a first come, first served basis. You can give them a follow on Instagram for updates.

What: Battello: Live in the Lounge
When: Friday, May 7 at 7pm
Where: 502 Washington Boulevard
Live in the Lounge is a 90-minute dinner accompanied by an intimate performance by a local musician. The 3-course dinner is limited to 40 people and will take place inside Battello’s spacious lounge. This Friday, Battello will feature the Will O’Connor Trio.

What: Plant Swap at Barrow Mansion
When: Saturday, May 8 from 1pm to 4pm
Where: 83 Wayne Street
The Barrow Mansion is hosting a casual plant swap where neighbors can bring, trade, and go home with plants. There will be soil and a potting station for easy transplanting. Plus, there will be music and refreshments. Admission is $10/pp.

Where: 136 Monticello Avenue
The Cottage Jersey City is hosting live musical performances every weekend. (Note, they recently tweaked the time so the music starts and finishes later in the day). The socially distanced event is held in The Cottage’s outdoor patio. As a reminder, The Cottage is BYOB (and they offer killer pastries and brunch sandwiches).

Where: 150 Bay Street
The Jersey City Society and Prato Bakery are teaming up for Apericena — a socially distant happy hour and Italian dinner held inside the new Prato Bakery at 150 Bay Street. The 3-course Apericena will include Italian cocktails and wine that will transport you straight to Tuscany. There will be homemade specialties including schiacciata, cantucci, and more. Reservations are required. Admission is $65/pp.
