The next Music on the Porch show at Barrow Mansion will feature French Jazz harmonicist Yvonnick Prene with guitarist Charlie Sigler. The performance is free for all to attend.

French gypsy jazz band Manouche Bag returns to Jersey City. The band will play a free show at Skinner’s Loft starting at 7pm.

Riverview Jazz will host a second Thursday residency bringing in a new featured guest each month. Admission is $10/pp.

What: Weekend Pizza Party at Amelia’s
When: Fridays through Sundays
Where: 187 Warren
Amelia’s Bistro is offering $10 personal pies every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night starting this weekend. There will be 10 pies to choose from, including veggie options. Plus, you’ll also be able to buy $18 half pitchers and $32 full pitchers of sangria.

What: Light Up The Loop Bike Ride
When: Friday, September 9 at 7pm
Where: Grove Plaza
Join Bike JC for an evening bike ride through Jersey City. The casual bike ride will meet at Grove Plaza (outside the PATH station) and head toward Liberty State Park and Greenville.

What: 4th Annual Pierfest by Exchange Place Alliance
When: Friday, September 9 from 6pm to 9pm
Where: J. Owen Grundy Park
The Exchange Place Alliance is hosting the 4th annual Pierfest. The event features world-class Latin jazz, dance instruction, and food. It’ll be held every Friday through September 30. Tonight the show will feature Gabriel Alegria Afro-Peruvian Sextet and Típica 73.

What: End of Summer Party at The Statuary
When: Friday, September 9 from 6pm to 10pm
Where: 53 Congress Street
Winard Harper and the Jeli Posse will perform at The Statuary tonight. The 9-piece band feature tap dance, vocals, African percussion, and high-energy swing. Doors open at 6pm and the music starts at 7pm. A suggested music donation of $25 is appreciated. All music donations go toward artist fees for this and future events.

What: Smorgasburg Jersey City
When: Saturday, September 10 from 11am to 6pm
Where: Harborside Plaza & Hudson Street (behind Smorgasbar)
Smorgasburg is back at Harborside for another season of eats. The outdoor market will offer food from numerous vendors including Cake Jars, Carlitos Barbecue Taqueria, and more. The market will operate every Saturday. Admission is free and there will be various outdoor dining options throughout Harborside JC.

New York native Joe Abbatantuono will perform at Fox & Crow tonight. He’s provided the drums and percussion for countless artists of all genres including jazz, rock, pop, metal, and hip-hop. Admission is $10/pp.
