The team behind successful Heights restaurant Corto have soft opened a new eatery in Jersey City’s Bergen-Lafeyette neighborhood. Located at 66 Monitor Street, The Roxy is a new restaurant serving French cuisine with Asian influences.

The Roxy is managed by Matt Moschella, Drew Buzzio, and Justin Buzzio. Matt and Drew first teamed up to open Corto (507 Palisade Avenue). For their new venture, they’re working with Justin Buzzio, whose resume includes acclaimed restaurants like New York’s Jean-Georges.

Whereas Corto is a BYOB restaurant focusing on homemade pastas and rustic Italian dishes, The Roxy offers more of a Mediterranean-inspired menu by chef Rachel Dos Santos. The menu includes dishes like halibut with coconut lemongrass, braised pork with red cabbage, and octopus with lentils and merguez sausage. There are also plenty of signature cocktails like the Campari-based Garibaldi and the Chamomile Old Fashioned.

The Roxy is currently in soft open mode and accepting reservations via Resy. You can follow them on Instagram for any menu updates.
